- Mexico gave up around 55% of its territory to the U.S after the war. The territory was called the Mexican Cession in the United States. - When the U.S attacked the Mexican Military Academy, six Mexican students fought to the death defending the castle. They are still remembered as the Ninos heroes( meaning "boy heroes) - There was a rebellion in California during the war where settlers declared their independence from Mexico. |
